The Play is The Thing!
I was in the middle of a response in one of my LinkedIn forums and thought to quickly put this together and up.
We sometimes take work so deadly seriously, and we get lifeless people as a result.
Why not play with issues and play with opportunities for improvement. After all, organizations that are not hospitals are rarely really concerned with life and death situations and people DO like to play.
There are simply so many things we can accomplish if we take the pressure off and talk about the things not working smoothly and the ideas for improvement that often already exist within the organization.
And remember: Caterpillars can fly, if they would just lighten up!
