The REALITY of Innovation and Improvement
My belief is that innovation and improvement are incremental processes that generally occur in small, sometimes continuous steps forward. There may be occasional mistakes or failures but teams of people can often implement good ideas if they are given the time to think and consider, the time to plan, the resources that are needed to accomplish the improvement, and a cycle of recognition and intrinsic reward that perpetuates the cycle.
And there are always IDEAS for improvement. Always!
It looks something like this, in my view. And this is often how my little organization operates, thumping and bumping along with something until we finally get things right.
Ya think?
The issues we see are often around the implementation side of things, not the creative side,
For the FUN of It!
