Are Bosses Unaware? A business Haiku

Okay, today starts NaNoWriMo, which is National Poetry Writing Month as everyone must know. (Well, I guess I had heard of it but needed to be reminded and I have no clue how to say “NaNoWriMo” – HWTSI (How would Tonto Say It?)

And last night, while re-reading Carl Sagan’s “Contact,” the dialog went like this:

“I asked him. If he could talk with a stone could he communicate with the dead?” Xi told her.

  “And what did he say?”

“He said the dead were easy. His difficulties were with the living.”

“How could I not illustrate that with a haiku and Square Wheels One,” Scott asks himself.

Square Wheels One Haiku Hands on walking dead

Why can we not make some simple changes in how we manage people? Why are so many leaders so isolated from the hands-on reality of the people?

As Sagan wrote:

“He said the dead were easy. His difficulties were with the living.”

For the FUN of It.
