Destiny, Teamwork, and Making Sense of Things
I was thinking about teamwork and how it tends to integrate with company culture while I was looking at some old powerpoint slides of quotes. I thought to polish up this one and share it:
The reality of a lot of organizational cultures is that the degree of collaboration and communications and teamwork have direct links to the levels of engagement and innovation. Those cultures where there is a comfort level with trying new ideas for improvement and engaging team support for implementing change are the cultures that tend to succeed.
These things that encourage an open culture are very good for business. According to a 2010 study by the Corporate Executive Board (CEB):
“Firms whose culture encourages open communication outperform peers by more than 270% in terms of long-term (10 year) total shareholder return.”
Choose to enlist, involve and engage. Choose to develop collaborative teamwork in your culture. Choose to allow people to perform.
For the FUN of It!
