Workplace Happiness – The World

My friends in Hong Kong at CSG just sent me some research reports from their membership with the WIN / Gallup International global research network that I thought to pass along. I see only their shared data on World and Hong Kong and look forward to seeing more of the research as it gets published and shared. Since I blog on people and performance issues, I thought a short blog post here would be of interest to people. I will keep this short:

With a question, “As far as you are concerned do you think 2015 will be better, worse or the same than 2014?”

better or worseOverall, people seem to feel it will be better.

For the question, “In general, do you personally feel very happy, happy, neither happy nor unhappy, unhappy or very unhappy about your life?”, we saw this data:

happinessAgain, in general, people are feeling a little more happy, which is good. Now, if we can just keep that momentum, things could get even better.

My focus is on people and performance and what supervisors and managers could choose to do better to improve teamwork and communications and similar. We support that intention with simple to use products like our Square Wheels toolkits and our team building exercises like The Search for The Lost Dutchman’s Gold Mine.
