Business Haiku with Square Wheels – The Journey Forward
Making progress in any initiative is taking steps forward. Often, it is about working with others and being led on the journey. One often needs peer support, good systems and processes to manage transactions, and the knowledge of desired outcomes. Motivation comes from being involved and engaged, having clear expectations, and being aligned to the goal. That is the theory, at least. What we often see is not quite that neat.
Here are a few business haiku that I wrote that involve my model of how things really work in most organizations (Square Wheels One) and some thinking about people and performance.

What is clear is that alternative choices are at hand. There are lots of realistic possibilities to make changes and improvements.
People DO care about how things work. People DO want to make an impact and accomplish things every day. But is is not simple activity that is motivating, it is accomplishment!
We can change perspectives and we can do different things to involve and engage people in workplace improvements.
One at a time. Step by step. Change the view. Involve and engage in workplace improvement.
For the FUN of It!
