People and Potential – Releasing the Butterfly
So many of our interactions with others in our daily management could focus on potential. Most of us have that ability to be more than what we are if we only felt more support from others. And our managers and supervisors can help us focus on improvement and possibilities. What we are today is not the limit of our potential. But is more expected of us than what we show to others?
We know a lot about this from all sorts of research, the most famous is probably the Pygmalion Effect of expectations and results. As a manager, leader and motivator, strive to see the potential in each of your people and work to help them become more than what they are.
Involve and engage and enlist people in your vision of what we can become.
