Business Haiku on Motivation and Employee Engagement

Ah, The Slackers!

Let’s put the blame on the people for not being motivated, right? After all, the workplace itself must be motivating since at least one of our people seems motivated every day. Right?

No. Not actually…

So here is a little haiku about business leadership and the reality that better wheels are already in the wagon:

Sauare Wheels, Engagement, People and Performance and motivation

Well, the reality is that most workplaces are not functioning all that well and an approach of facilitative Servant Leadership could sure have a lot of impacts. If only our wagon pushers could take a bit of time to talk with people about perceived issues and opportunities. If only the wagon pushers were asked to be involved to make improvements.

This engagement stuff is NOT rocket science and the wagon pushers of the world DO have better ideas on hand, if only we would allow their active involvement.
