On Progress and Improvement – Issues of Choice

we have this kind of thought about choice and choices:
So much depends on simply seeing what are called “considered alternatives” instead of simply doing the same things, over and over and expecting to actually make progress. One needs to simply step back from the wagon and see what other possibilities exist.
How we improve depends so much on how we look at the world around us.
