Getting the Boots Aligned, in the Rain, in the Main

Our team building exercise, The Search for The Lost Dutchman’s Gold Mine, is about generating and benefitting measurably from collaboration and alignment. When people share information and resources, the entire group optimizes its performance. But we often are NOT aligned in the game and often NOT aligned in the workplace.

We often generated solid discussions about what can we choose to do differently back at work. The ideas are often solid and real,  but the issue is that implementation of behavioral change or changes in feedback and measurement systems is difficult. What is required is persistence and teamwork.

This illustration is one of our new additions to the exercise, a variety of different illustrations that can be used in followup, either in emails or small posters or similar.

The idea is to get people to consider their options and to make some different choices:

Asking for ideas generates that extra level of commitment and ownership.

Remember: Nobody ever washes a rental car!

Keep them involved and engaged and moving forward, together,

For the FUN of It!
